What is JewelBid?

What is JewelBid?

Over the years, insurance companies have accumulated damaged jewellery, gemstones and timepieces after settling claims. These salvaged items can include chipped stones, slightly damaged items, scrap precious metals, later found/returned items and more.

JewelBid gives the trade the opportunity to purchase these items through a simple auction-style listing at highly competitive prices.

All items listed for auction include detailed descriptions, specifications and photographs, including any damage. Diamonds have been photographed through a microscope at 20x plus magnification to enable you to see imperfections and / or damage (where applicable).

Diamonds have been examined by a diamond grading laboratory, providing an assessment as to what the stone could be recut to, assuming the end cut grade will achieve a GIA XXX rating.

Items can be physically inspected at our office in the Sydney CBD by appointment.
